Terms & policies

Terms of use, job-source policy and privacy notice for JobZillah.

1. Our service and these terms

JobZillah is a job discovery and search-organizing service operated by Dewell Complex. These terms govern your use of JobZillah, together with the privacy notice below. By using the service, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using the service.

JobZillah is not an employer, recruitment agency or party to an employment agreement. Employers and external job websites make their own hiring decisions. We do not guarantee employment, interviews, salary, eligibility, work permits or the outcome of any application.

2. Listings, sources and applications

Job listings and website information may originate from third parties. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, duplicated, delayed, changed or expired. A listing or link is not an endorsement, verification of an employer, or promise that a vacancy is available. Verify the employer, pay, requirements and application instructions directly before acting.

Listings marked as samples are demonstrations, not real vacancies, and cannot accept applications. Live Remotive listings are credited to Remotive and remain accessible without a JobZillah account. Full descriptions and applications are available on the original source, subject to that source’s terms.

Website search links may open an external search engine or job website. They are not evidence that JobZillah has crawled, imported or partnered with that website. External services have their own terms, privacy notices, fees and practices. Dewell Complex does not control their content, availability or transactions.

You are responsible for your applications and dealings with employers. Saved jobs and application-tracker entries are personal records: JobZillah does not submit applications or verify employer responses. Never send money or sensitive identity or financial information to an unverified recruiter. No listing guarantees that a recruiter is trustworthy.

3. Accounts and acceptable use

Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in details secure and use the service only when you have legal capacity to agree to these terms. You are responsible for activity under your account, except where applicable law provides otherwise. Do not impersonate others or use another person’s account without permission.

Do not use JobZillah for fraud, discriminatory or unlawful activity, harassment, spam, malware, infringement, unauthorized data collection or interference with the service. Do not bypass access controls, obtain other users’ private information, or scrape or republish third-party listings in violation of their rights or terms.

Dewell Complex may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal obligations or a material breach of these terms. Where practicable and legally appropriate, affected users will receive notice. Suspension does not remove rights that applicable law gives you.

4. Intellectual property and your information

JobZillah branding and original service materials belong to Dewell Complex or its licensors. Third-party company names, logos and listings remain the property of their respective owners. Access to the service does not transfer ownership or grant permission to exploit third-party content.

You retain rights in information you provide. You authorize Dewell Complex to store and process it as necessary to operate the features you use and as described in the privacy notice. This authorization does not transfer ownership of your information. Submit only information you have the right to provide.

5. Disclaimers and limits of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service and third-party information are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, suitability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We take reasonable care but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dewell Complex and its personnel are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or losses of opportunity, anticipated income, profits or data arising from use of the service, reliance on listings, external websites or dealings with employers. Liability for third-party conduct is excluded only where the law permits.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any responsibility or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Mandatory consumer, employment and data-protection rights remain unaffected. These terms do not excuse Dewell Complex from its own legal obligations.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate Dewell Complex for reasonable losses and costs arising from third-party claims caused by your unlawful use of the service, infringement of another person’s rights or material breach of these terms. This does not apply to losses caused by Dewell Complex’s own wrongdoing, and does not waive any non-excludable rights.

6. Privacy notice

Dewell Complex is responsible for personal information processed for JobZillah. Account information includes your email address, display name and sign-in information. Features may also store your location, skills, job preferences, saved jobs and searches, recently viewed listings, and application-tracker entries such as employers, statuses, dates and notes.

We use this information to provide and secure your account, personalize searches, store the records you choose to save, handle account recovery and maintain the service. Where required by law, processing relies on an applicable legal basis, such as providing the requested service, a legitimate interest subject to your rights, consent, or a legal obligation. A saved notification preference does not itself mean job-alert emails are being sent.

If you choose “Use my location,” your browser asks for permission and location is used for nearby-job searching. Typed locations may be sent to a location-lookup provider to find coordinates. You can refuse browser location permission and search manually instead.

Service providers supporting hosting, account authentication, storage, security and diagnostics may process necessary information. These providers may process data in other countries, subject to safeguards required by applicable law. External search links can include the job keywords and location you entered; opening them discloses those terms to the destination provider. Information you submit on an employer’s site is governed by that site’s privacy notice.

Essential browser storage keeps you signed in and supports account security. Hosting and diagnostics may process technical usage information, such as request details, device information and errors. Any optional tracking requiring consent must not be activated without the consent required by law.

We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described, including legitimate security, legal or dispute-resolution needs. Account settings let you update your profile and preferences and request account deletion. Limited backup or legally required records may remain for the period necessary for those purposes. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and a right to complain to the appropriate data-protection authority.

Reasonable safeguards help protect personal information, but no system is completely secure. Avoid placing identity documents, bank details, health information or other unnecessary sensitive data in your application notes. Your private saved records are not public job listings.

7. Changes, disputes and applicable law

Dewell Complex may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. Updated terms will be dated on this page, and material changes will be brought to users’ attention where required by law. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights.

Disputes and these terms are subject to applicable law, including mandatory protections in your place of residence. Nothing here requires arbitration, prevents a complaint to a regulator, or removes access to a court that applicable law entitles you to use. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
